Aug 13, · For what it's worth "Sixty / Forty" is one of my favourite Nico tracks, and many years ago my band recorded a pretty decent version of "Purple Lips", so as you can see I'm a big Drama Of Exile fan. The incomparable Nico's criminally underrated fifth LP. Gone are the harmonium-driven dirges, and in their place, dissonant, druggy, weirdly hypnotic new wave. Between this drastic change in sound and the drug-fueled controversy surrounding its recording and re-recording (google it if you're interested) Drama of Exile never really got a fair.
